Awana is a children's outreach program our church runs Wednesday nights from September thru May.

Midwest Church Extension

Pastor Wahl has served on the board of Midwest Church Extension, www.ifcamce.org. Midwest Church Extension seeks to establish IFCA churches within the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. The Board President of MCE is David Laborde and the Executive Director is Henry Vosburgh.

Partners In Evangelism

Pastor Wahl also serves on the Administrative Board of Partners in Evangelism International, www.piei.org. PIEI is a Mission Agency located in Chicago, Illinois. Partners in Evangelism was established to help National Missionaries already involved in ministry in their native countries. Currently PIEI supports missionaries in around 20 countries around the world. PIEI aids in supporting National Missionaries with spiritual and financial help. Within PIEI, Richard also sits on the Romania/Ukraine committee. He has traveled to Romania on several occasions and Ukraine twice. The president of Partners in Evangelism is Cornel Stef and the General Director is Wayne Taylor. PIEI is in fellowship with the IFCA.

Village of River Grove

River Grove is a pleasant community of around 10,000 people located just southeast of the O'Hare Airport. Find out more about our Village at www.vorg.us. Our Mayor is Marilynn May. The Police Chief is Rodger Loni and our Fire Chief is Larry LaRiviere. Pastor Wahl serves as a Police and Fire Chaplin for the Village.

River Grove Bible Church was established in October of 1949. In 1948, two churches located in River Grove began to seek the Lord's leading for a merge. River Grove Baptist Church was located on the east side of the Des Plaines River and was pastored by Rev. David Kimball. On the west side of the river, the Little Gray Church, pastored by Rev. James Smith, acquired the present property with plans for a new building. During this time, the Little Gray Church officially changed its name to the Rhodes Gospel Church. Once the merger was official, all agreed the new name of the merger would be the River Grove Bible Church. The newly-formed congregation also felt it was best to call a new pastor at that time. Rev. Harry Reed became the first pastor of River Grove Bible Church. At that time, the church also became a member of the IFCA www.ifca.org; a fellowship it has continued to this day.

Over these many years the church has been blessed by God with godly, Bible-believing pastors who hold to the inspiration of the Scriptures and the saving grace for man found in the Lord Jesus Christ.
